Wintergreen essential oil contains 99% of methyl salicylate, natural aspirin, which is why it is traditionally used for alleviating rheumatic difficulties, tensed muscle relaxation and painful joints. By synergistically acting with white willow bark extract (that also contains methyl salicylate), it shows anti-inflammatory and analgesic characteristics. In combination with eucalyptus, pine and clove, it stimulates circulation and additionally gives pleasant cold feeling on the site of application.
Arnica flower extract improves blood circulation in the tissues and reduces swelling and bruising caused by crushing, sprains and sports injuries.
Menthol evaporates from the skin surface and has a mild antiseptic effect. It affects the receptors for temperature and causes a pleasant cooling effect at the site of application, which leads to relief of rheumatic problems.
Camphor has a local, natural anesthetic effect. It relieves pain and contributes to reducing swelling and bruising.
